I totally Shipt it


Yeah, I made that joke with the headline. I make no apologies, because I'm adorable and you know it.

So, things being what they are, I realized in the middle of the night that we were out of eggs and bread. Then I remembered Shipt started delivering Meijer groceries last month and I have the opportunity to try it, so why not?

So, I loaded the website, browsed, and made my selections. (Did I mention that it was 1am? No? It was. And I was tired and probably not making the best choices. But at least I took the Super Soaker out of my cart.)

What, you can't see the 2 loaves of bread? The iced coffee? Damnit. Yes, I DID buy twizzlers. And ate them for breakfast. I'm 36, and I do what I want.

But, I also bought shampoo for the boys AND I, and an air freshener refill because I have 2 children that seem to be having a contest to see how much they can make it stink in there. I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING, BOYS, AND I DO NOT APPRECIATE IT ONE LITTLE BIT.

Basically, I did my best to make my shopper cover the entire store while still getting free shipping (by spending more than $35). Beauty, food, house cleaning, and checkout, and she did this in less than 20 minutes, and we texted back and forth the entire time. They were out of the twizzlers and coffee that I ordered, so we swapped them for something else, and she came here a half hour earlier than scheduled. My 2 loaves of bread weren't smashed, my iced coffee was cold, and my sparkling water wasn't shaken. She was super friendly and even insisted on carrying the bags (that weren't at all heavy, let's be honest) in the house for me seeing my orbit-causing baby bump.

January Julep Maven Box Reveal!

I know, this is SO NOT CRAFTY, but I figure...everyone else is doing it, so I'm gonna. OMG, LOOK THEY GAVE ME CANDY. *ahem* 3 nail colors, 1 box Junior mints, and a bunch of cards....Oh, what's under the cards? Goodies! Eyeshadow, Lip Gloss, Mascara, and nail tools! WAHOO! (Note, the eyeshadow and tools were purchased extra from the standard box. The lip gloss and nail polishes were the standard Maven box. The mascara was a gift for ordering extras.) So, what do I think? I have so many feels. First, the nail colors. Gorgeous. Casey  - A beautiful dark teal, very creamy, no shimmer. Glossy finish, one to two coats needed for cover. LOVE THIS.
