Schrödinger's Pickle

If you follow me on the twitter/instagram/tumblr triumvirate or are friends with me on face book, you have seen me post photos of lists under the hashtag #selfaccountability, and probably wondered what I'm doing. Some of you also know that I'm now in treatment for Bipolar Disorder, which has had me swinging from long bouts of sinking depression to short bouts of manic energy. When I was depressed, I couldn't be bothered to do much of anything, let alone clean. The house was just terrible. The boys rarely, if ever, got outside. If it wasn't microwaveable, it didn't get cooked (which meant we got takeout). Sometimes, it feels like the bouts of depression lasted longer than the manic episodes, but it's only because...sometimes, anything less than AWESOME felt like it was terrible. A little over a year ago, I started with a therapist that actually helped, and didn't tell me I needed to pray more, do yoga, or try some other "woo" treatment that isn...

But, I've been making things! This super adorbs Owl Rug is a pattern available at Etsy and Ravelry :) And this adorable number for my baby niece who I have not heard whether or not she's joined us on the outside yet. :D

I know, this is SO NOT CRAFTY, but I figure...everyone else is doing it, so I'm gonna. OMG, LOOK THEY GAVE ME CANDY. *ahem* 3 nail colors, 1 box Junior mints, and a bunch of cards....Oh, what's under the cards? Goodies! Eyeshadow, Lip Gloss, Mascara, and nail tools! WAHOO! (Note, the eyeshadow and tools were purchased extra from the standard box. The lip gloss and nail polishes were the standard Maven box. The mascara was a gift for ordering extras.) So, what do I think? I have so many feels. First, the nail colors. Gorgeous. Casey  - A beautiful dark teal, very creamy, no shimmer. Glossy finish, one to two coats needed for cover. LOVE THIS. Shelly - A beautiful bright wintermint creme, no shimmer. Glossy finish, one to two coats needed for cover. I like it. It won't be a regular for me, but I like it.  Tyra (No Link)- Metamorphic top coat, iridescence. Shimmery finish, leans to pink. I wanted SO BADLY to love this. I love irides...
